Distinguished Mutts!
We have 2 very special and distinguished mutts. Shakyra is a cross between a Great Pyrenees and an Anatolian Shepherd. They are incredible protectors, but get along with the rest of our dogs too.

She is extremely protective of her flock which includes us children :) We lost Shakyra to old age one spring morning. Shakyra lived on attention! Despite her looking like a big mush pot, she is a ferocious guard dog and knows her flock. Due to her wonderful qualities, we added another Livestock Guardian Dog early in 2009 |

Our other beloved mutt is Ranger...a stray who we found in our pasture many years ago. |
