Her dam is a daughter of Rhotens Little Dandy. This girl is bred to trot and she does! If you are looking for an affectionate pet, Candy is that. Very sweet and loveable. Walks right up to you in pasture and happy to see us. But, not so happy about working when we hook her to cart and ask her to drive. She is not scary to drive, and does not do anything that alarms me, but is sour about driving. She loves attention though, this sourness is just in the cart. If someone took time with her in the cart, she will be single pleasure first time out. Candy has so much bounce in her natural trot and super tight hocks. Despite being very green in the cart, you can see her natural talent. Her movement is 100% completely natural. She definitely needs miles to develop a good work ethic, but she is not spooky. She has a very poor work ethic at this point and complains about driving, yet, she has not been dangerous for us in the arena or out on trail. Here is a video of her in the cart. We have tried to breed her, but have never succeeded in her producing a foal for us. I have never looked into this with any veterinary help. Every trotting picture that we take of her has all 4 feet off of the ground!
