If not using a kit, you can send the hair in a sandwich type ziplock bag, or a small envelope (Please do not seal envelope by licking the flap, as any cells present in saliva can contaminate the sample and compromise the accuracy of the test!) Fill out an ID card (if submitting without a kit, please just indicate on a slip of paper: name and/or ID#, breed, sex, color, markings, owner) and place it in the bag. With each shipment include a filled-out form providing your name, address & contact information, your horses’ information (breed, name, sex, ID, tests requested), and payment method. Please attach an additional sheet if more space is needed. NOTE: Please provide information on your horse breed, name, and registration number (including what registry), as you would like it to appear on the DNA Certificate.
