The parents' hips and elbows are cleared with OFA, and eyes have been cleared via CERF testing. Nina has had adult puppies who have been OFA tested have been rated excellent.
Both Nina and Buddy are EIC and CNM tested so that we are 100% sure that we are not producing affected pups. These are neurological diseases that are becoming very common in Labrador Retrievers. Click here to read about health concerns in Labradors.
Dewclaws and vaccinations are taken care of up until their departure date. See the chart at the bottom of each nursery page. A health record is sent home with each pup. Microchipping is available, too.

 Update from Andrea on 5/2/12! Hi Beth,
Hope you and your family are doing
wonderfully! We can't wait to see pictures of Dandy and
Chester's pups! Dexter has kept growing and growing and he's
just the biggest cutie ever. We went to the vet last
Friday
for his puppy booster and he was over 35 pounds. The vet
commented that "it seemed as if he definitely wasn't missing
any meals."
Haha.
Definitely
not! We even need to monitor his feeding habits closely as
he tends to actively search for inedible things to swallow
all day long. =)
He has a blast with our German Shepherd,
chasing him around and trying to nibble his tail. He is
practically fully potty trained and is very quick to catch
on to all types of training. He's such a sweet boy. He
absolutely loves hugs and kisses, and the more people the
merrier. We can't get enough at him and it seems
unbelievable that we've only had Dex for a month and a half.

Ivan is now 35 pounds and Trinity is 20.
The photos are from 2 weeks ago. I was walking them last week
and ran into a couple that have had chocolate labs before and
had a very bad experience. They wished me luck. I told them that
luck has nothing to do with it is the quality of the breeder and
their breed. Things are going very well. I knew that they would
grow quickly, but no be 35 pounds at 3 months. We have one day a
week that I feel it is overwhelming and challenging, but
everyone has a bad day now and then. Patricia |
