This
is a very special boy who does all of life with a passion. He
needs a strong driver and someone with experience around
stallions. He is "all boy"," but I find him an absolute
blast to show and to drive around our neighborhood. He is not
spooky, but he is very controlled by his testosterone. He
literally runs right to me in liberty and his sliding stops
challenge many a reiner!
I love this
boy. He was one of the "backyard finds' that you dream about. He had
only been used as a breeding stallion until he came here and his babies
weren't even being registered. What a shame. I brought him home and
immediately started groundwork with him. I recognized his breeding the
first time I saw him due to owning Beamer,
who is a paternal brother. The sire of both of our boys is
Grosshill Dandys Special Edition. I have a
1998 video of "Eddie" on his page on my site. It shows Eddie as a
weanling and you can see the raw potential shining out. Eddie is
currently owned by Oak Bay Acres and Hunterberry Hill Farm.
Design does not just have fancy action, he also has a neck and
poll that bridles beautifully. Design and Beamer both have this, and
this feature is something I am striving to produce in our babies. I want
fancy action that is still there when they are bridled.
